Ravioli Mold Tips

Tips to improve your results with your ravioli mold invariably relate to preventing the pasta from sticking to your mold and stopping the completed ravioli sticking together. This is the major problem that most people are confronted with when using a ravioli maker such as a ravioli mold. There are a couple of ways you can go about preventing this from happening. The first is to ensure that you have thoroughly floured the downward facing side of you bottom pasta sheet before placing on the mold. Secondly, make sure you are using pasta that is thick enough to contain the filling without splitting. Furthermore, don’t be tempted into trying to put too much filling in the ravioli. This will simply cause it to split when rolled or to leak out the seams. Finally, when your ravioli have been prepared, wherever possible avoid placing them on top of one another or if you can’t avoid it, make sure you flour them thoroughly beforehand.
