Monday, August 1st, 2011I have always been a great seamstress. I made myself a few dresses in high school and now I make some clothes for my kids. My oldest daughter has recently been involved in the community theater. It is actually a really big deal because many people try to be involved but do not get in. She told me that the theater needed new curtains and they were looking for someone to make them in a specific way. I talked to them about it, and they gave me the job. I had to work with Duvetyne, a material I had not used before. It actually worked out really well. The curtains took some time to make, but I was able to get them exactly the way the theater wanted them to be. It was great to be able to use my talents to help out the community theater and help something my daughter loves to be a part of.
